Dedicated Health Camps are organized substantially for the deprived sections, providing basic health needs at a specific location. These health camps aim at promoting health seeking behavior in the long term and thus unlike general curative health camps, these camps majorly deal with issues related to old people, women and children. These camps also ensure provision of timely referral services to the patients for further or specialized care. The date, place and other details of the camps are communicated to potential beneficiaries well in advance through leaflets, announcements, banners, hoardings etc. DJJS liaises with doctors and paramedical staff from well- known hospitals to facilitate their services voluntarily in these camps. Support from corporate offices, civic bodies, state government and individuals, is the main spruce of these camps. The camps mainly include general health camps, blood donation camps, dental camps, eye camps, pulse polio immunization camps, acupressure camps, HB check up camps, orthopedic camps, and heart check up camps etc.
