Amravati, Maharashtra branch organized a free sugar checkup & awareness camp for the residents of Saroj Colony, Gopal Nagar and Mahavir Nagar in Amravati on 29th May 2016. The main objective of the camp was to create awareness among the public regarding the causes, prevention and control of diabetes and blood pressure. Besides creating awareness among the public, free BP and sugar level checkups were also done. About 114 people (42 males, 72 females) got registered and were screened for Blood sugar level. Patients identified with high blood sugar level were referred to hospital for further investigation and treatment. Dr. Rajendra Tayde and his team provided their services in the camp.
