One week prior to camp, publicity about the eye camp was done through distribution of pamphlets by DJJS volunteers. With the conscious effort of DJJS preachers and a medical team of Physician and Opticians - Dr. Akshay Dhabe, Mr. Dilip Sayankal, Mr. Kushal Patil alongwith other staff, Eye care services were delivered free of cost to about 115 patients (30 men, 70 women & 15 children) through this camp.

With the help of torch light and direct ophthalmoscope, the medical team did routine complete eye examinations of the registered patients, to detect external eye infections, defects in vision, signs of injury, ocular diseases or abnormality and problems with general health, such as high blood pressure or diabetes. They made a health assessment, offered clinical advice, prescribed spectacles and referred patients for further treatment wherever it was needed. Refraction was performed on patients who have refractive errors, presbyopia, etc.; while DJJS volunteers control the patient flow. Prescribed medicines were provided to the patients for their diagnosed problems free of cost. This camp has successfully outreached to benefit the people residing in the areas nearby.
