A two days yoga camp - ‘Vilakshan Yog Shivir’ and Ayurvedic Health Checkup Camp was organized in Jalandhar at Model House Park, Jalandhar from 30th July to 31st July 2016 in association with Laxmi Narayan Mandir Committee Model House, Jalandhar. DJJS Vilakshan Yog- Shivir are special camps which enumerate the significance and importance of ‘yoga and pranayama; in overall healing of the body and attainment of perfect equilibrium and harmony. The shivir covers asans, pranayama, relaxation, meditation as well as Ayurvedic Health Care tips etc. Yogacharya Ashwani Anand, disciple of head and founder of DJJS – Shri Ashutosh Maharaj Ji and an adept in yoga undertook these sessions in the early morning from 5am to 7am. Alongside a free Ayurvedic Health Checkup Camp was also put up to extend consultation and diagnosis through ancient nadi parikshan kriya. Eminent Ayurvedacharya Dr. Shashi Rana and Swami Gyananand Ji rendered their expert advice and services to over 225 patients (180 men and 45 women).The camp was inaugurated by lamp lightning Ceremony by chief guests – Mr. Kamal Sharma, Convener of Human Rights Commission, Mr. Darshan Lal Bhagat, Counsellor, Major Singh, Secretary, Congress Punjab and Mr. Dinesh Sharma, President, Laxmi Narayan Mandir Committee. They all appreciated the efforts of organisation for its social welfare initiatives and assured to extend their support in further interventions by Sansthan. The program got huge media coverage in newspapers -Dainik Savera, Dainik Bhaskar, Front Page etc.
