Rise High & the Problems are Gone!

A passenger plane, destined for Europe, was supposed to be loaded with a box of venomous African snakes of various species. Late arrival of the plane from the previous trip and the pressure of timely take-off towards the next destination set platform for an unimaginable mistake. The box carrying a variety of some of the world’s most poisonous snakes was left unlocked. … Finding their way out of the box, they started moving all over the plane including the passenger seating compartment.

The passengers, ignorant of the fact that they were accompanied by such calamitous foes in the plane, got terrified to see hoards and loads of snakes moving uninterruptedly towards them. News of the plane aisles being haunted by the scary creatures spread like a wild fire and created panic among all on board. The very sight of those ghastly reptiles was enough to stop anybody’s heart! And, being with them in the same space of an aircraft, miles above the ground, was worse than death. Hearing the hair raising screams, the pilot called up his crew members to check as to what went wrong. …

Reporting the ground authorities that they were dealing with some of the most lethal species of snakes in the world, the pilot asked them for advising a place to land immediately before the passengers and cabin crew were bitten. …

To the utter shock of the pilot and against everybody else’s expectations, instead of directing the pilot to a nearest runway, the boss asked the pilot not to begin a descend, but to gain speed and altitude. It was something that was hard to digest for an impatient, anxious pilot. … He thought how insensitive his boss was!’…

… The pilot, who was cursing his boss minutes back for his insensitivity and cruelty, was now full of gratitude and praise towards his boss’ great presence of the mind and common sense.

What happened in those few minutes? Were all the snakes returned back to their box? But, how? How the passengers and crew members actually managed to survive through such a lethal nightmare! To know this and furthermore, read the complete Jan, 2014 edition of English Akhand Gyan monthly magazine.
