Throughout the span of a 3 hours workshop highlighting upon the importance of value based education in ripping up the deeply settled problem of drug abuse amongst the youth, the DJJS Karkardooma centre of Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan founded/mentored by His Holiness Ashutosh Maharaj ji under its Drug Abuse Eradication Program (Bodh) invited some young citizens located in the area of Vishvas Nagar and around. Such gathering of more than 70 youth not only participated this time but also put across their points of view regarding how the state of youthfulness is perceived and expected out of them in today’s world. Stuck between the two upfront, wherein on one hand they are supposed to follow the trends as far as looks, habits and targets are concerned and on the other hand there are very less chances or less preventive measures for lessening down the repercussions of following the trends blindly. With detailed discussions and real time examples and instances, the DJJS preacher and other experts carved out the ways to strike a balance in maintaining the sanctity of a healthy and balanced life. With the informative and interactive tools like presentations, videos and demonstrative activities, the core aim of the workshop which is importance of values in life was disseminated upon the participants. There were various other topics that were also discussed in the form of Q&A session such as why abide by our parents, importance of adherence to varied cultures, management of spilt mind and a thought which gives an enlarged spectrum on the importance of such workshop in today’s scenario.
