Gau Katha Connected Indian Ancient Culture with Spirituality at Naraingarh, Haryana

Cows were never considered as ‘just another animal’ in Indian culture. According to Indian way of thought, everyone is advised to do well to others namely not only to the human society but also to living beings other than human beings. The Indians are not cow worshippers as others wrongly interpret it, but the Indians are grateful to the species of cow for supplying milk to the human babies. This sentiment is so subtle and strong that for merely providing milk, the cow is accepted as one of the seven mothers. That is called Indian cultural mission.

In order to motivate people for revering cows and to make them understand their value in the society, Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan (DJJS) - a non-profit, non-government and a leading spiritual organization, head and founded by His Holiness Shri Ashutosh Maharaj Ji, organized a five days program of Gau Katha at Naraingarh, Haryana from March 29^th- April 2^nd, 2016.

The spiritual discourser- Sadhvi Sumedha Bharti Ji, preacher and disciple of Shri Ashutosh Maharaj Ji profoundly explained that cows are not worshipped only for supplying milk, but also for infinite other reasons. That’s the reason that cows are considered as holy mothers. Cow dung is used to sanctify and purify the environment, Cow ghee is used in havans to create positive vibrations, Gau mutra for curing diabetes, fat, and various diseases, milk for human babies, and the list goes on. A cow is a symbol of divinity, which gives everything without expecting anything in return.

The cow’s milk is compared to nectar, which one can drink to become immortal. Of course, simply drinking milk will not make one immortal, but it can increase the duration of one's healthy life. In modern civilization, men do not think milk to be important, and therefore they do not live a healthy life. Life can be long with the help of medicines but duration of healthy life is squeezing. This is a sign of Kali-yuga.

It is our responsibility to protect cows, save them, care for them as in this nature; such pure symbiotic relationship among living beings is rare and mutually beneficial for the whole Earth. The program served its supreme purpose in creating awareness among the people about the cows’ importance in society.
