Kamdhenu Gaushala’s presence Enthralled Audience at Rashtriya Pashudhan Championship in Punjab

Kamdhenu project, first of its kind, is an initiative of DJJS which aims at preservation, breed improvement and creating awareness regarding use of Indian breed of cows. The project has made its mark in the field of quality of scientific research and impeccable International quality standards. Over the years, the program has gained traction amongst scientist, agriculturist and students. The project is a “LIVE” demonstration of dedication, love and scientific acumen of the people preserving the rear breed.

DJJS’s ‘Kamdhenu Gaushala’ was invited to participate in ‘10th Rashtriya Pashudhan Championship 2017’ from Dec. 1 to Dec. 5, 2017. The event was held in Patiala, Punjab. On the occasion, DJJS put up a stall on all five days exhibiting range of products prepared out of cow’s produce like milk, urine etc. Various high profile dignitaries visited the stall. Amongst the dignitaries were Smt. Preneet Kaur (Ex. Minister of State for External Affairs, Govt. of India) and Shri Sadhu Singh Dharamsot (Cabinet Minister, Govt. of Punjab). Smt. Preneet Kaur Ji appreciated the selfless motive and actions of ‘Kamdhenu’ Project. As always, the motive of DJJS behind participation was to create awareness about the use of Indian cow breed and how can one improve and conserve that breed.

Disciples of Shri Ashutosh Maharaj Ji registered their presence there on behalf of DJJS.  Swami Ji explained in detail the different in indigenous breed of cow and foreign breed of cow. He elucidated differentiation techniques and advantages of Sahiwal breed of cow which is almost extinct in Punjab now. That’s why DJJS is working ardently to conserve and improve this breed.
