Scientific methods at Gaushala: A source of inspiration for scientist

July 15, 2015

IMV technologies organized a seminar at Radisson Blu Hotel in Dwarka, Delhi on Wednesday, July 15th, where expert doctors and practitioners across India converged to discuss about the latest scientific technologies being used to breed animals. Representatives of Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan’s Kamdhenu Gaushala project were special invitees at the seminar. The panel presented numerous scientific techniques and methods currently in practice at Kamdhenu Gaushala. DJJS representatives presented the long lasting results as well as the enduring benefits specific to these practices. One of the important techniques amongst many is Artificial Insemination (AI) as the ultimate method to preserve breeds as well as generate healthy offspring. Out of the discussions, an important point emerged that the beneficial and convenient technique of AI is currently being employed only among 20-25% breeders across the nation. A consensus was reached that in order to yield the maximum amount of benefits, such practices must be brought into effect by educating breeders throughout the country.

Representative of Sansthan also had a meeting with Shri S H Naresh Sirohi, Advisor Kisan Channel (Prasar bharti) and Shri Ranjan Mukherjee, Additional Director General (Operations & Liaison). Kisan Channel at Prasaar Bharti Channel assured total cooperation for the endeavor as well as the willingness to assist in the project. As a result of discussions at length, a statement was also made of filming a documentary on the Kamdhenu Gaushala. The purpose of the documentary would be to broadcast amongst the nation the valuable and practical methods that entire India could essentially exploit and get benefitted from. Furthermore, Kisan Channel would like Kamdhenu Gaushala to be a model inspiration to lead the country and work on breed improvement in indigenous species.
