DJJS MANTHAN @ 5th Annual Socio-Cultural Fest of SGGSCC – CONSORTIUM 2017

The Rotaract Club of Sri Guru Gobind Singh College of Commerce organized its 5th annual socio-cultural fest - CONSORTIUM 2017 on 9th and 17th February, 2017 in the college premises. It hopes to embody the feverish pitch of excitement, unleash creative display and the convergence of talent and enthusiasm, which symbolizes Gen next. The fest comprised of diverse activities to provide partaking platform to one and all. 

Social Quotient, being the flagship event of the fest, was organized on the 17th of February, 2017, in which teams from various Delhi University colleges and institutions participated in a Business Plan Presentation Competition. DJJS MANTHAN was invited to grace the occasion and Judge the teams in the event.  Sadhvi Deepa Bharti Ji, Program Coordinator, Manthan, DJJS was among the judges panel along with Dr. Satvinder, Professor, SGGSCC,DU,  Dr. Paramjeet Kaur, Associate Professor, DOE, SGGSCC, DU and senior Rotarian Mr. Saurabh Gupta - Joint Secy, RCND.

The Social Quotient Round 1 started with the business plan presentations given by the social project representatives from various colleges of Delhi University like Shri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC), Sri Guru Gobind Singh College of commerce (SGGSCC), Ramjas College and Cluster Innovation center. The projects presented by the team related to different social streams like empowerment of rural women, empowerment of widows, smoke free incense sticks, mental health, online portal for Transgender, environment & women safety.

Judgment was made on various criteria’s like presentation of content, creativity & innovation, Speaker score & Interjection. The First prize was bagged by Ramjas Enactus for Project Transit; the second prize was shared by two teams: SRCC Chapter for Project Arpan and SGGSCC for project Tabeer. The third prize was bagged by SRCC for project Sanjeevani.

After the program, the participating teams personally met with Sadhvi Deepa Bharti Ji and were highly keen and urged to participate and volunteer for the social welfare initiatives of Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan.
