A days’ survey was conducted to enroll the needy young girls and women into the DJJS-Manthan’s initiatives aimed for empowerment of girls and women i.e. “PRASHIKSHAN” – Sewing and Stitching Center for Girls and “SYAHI” – The Adult Literacy Center.
On 15th of February 2017, a team of 20 dedicated volunteers of Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan did an extensive mapping of the areas nearby Manthan-training Center which includes all urban-rural local areas around the west Patel Nagar such as Rajasthan Colony, Punjabi Basti, Baba Fareedpur colony.
The purpose of the survey was mainly spreading awareness to the target group about the above mentioned welfare initiatives taken by the organization. The volunteers not only motivated the residents for their skill development opportunity but also educated them on the significance and future of their getting trained in their lives and their families as well.
The survey started from 11a.m. in the morning and continued till 3p.m in the evening. The team interacted number of people and noted their responses in questionnaire. The team covered around 100 households in total.
The team was able to successfully register the enough motivated names for “to be students” under Prashikshan and Syahi.
