Manthan-SVK students pledged to protect and respect the Indian flag

Manthan-SVK, an initiative by Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan celebrated Independence day on 14th August 2019 at all centres with full enthusiasm. Manthan-SVK is an initiative which is working relentlessly for the benefit of underprivileged children of the society. It focuses not only on their formal education but also their mental, social, holistic and overall development of the children.

To inculcate the feeling of patriotism in the children, Independence day celebration was organized in all the centres of Manthan-SVK. The event started with hoisting of the national flag. The children tied rakhi to the flag and pledged to respect and protect our national integrity. Teachers told the students about the struggle which India had to go through to achieve this Independence and hence we should always value it. Children sung Indian National song, Vande Mataram and also performed dance performances on other patriotic songs. Teachers conducted a quiz on history of India and the winners were given gifts and prizes as well. Children expressed their views regarding the country by planting trees, poems, essays as well as posters. Manthan centre, Patel Nagar organized a rally in which children represented various freedom fighters of our country such as Rani Lakshmi Bai, Bhagat Singh, Chandrashekhar Azad, Subhash Chandra Bose and Veer Sawarkar. Nawada centre of Gurugram hosted the employees of Bank of India who celebrated the Independence day with the children. Sweets such as jalebi were also distributed to the children at all the centres.

All the centres celebrated the event with full enthusiasm and were successful in igniting the feeling of patriotism in the children so that they might realize the value of sacrifice given by our ancestors and our soldiers and make an effort to again make our India, the universal leader (The vishwa guru).
