Manthan SVK Summer Camp 2018

Summer Camps are an important part of a student's life. They rejuvenate the child's intellectual development and keep him/her connected to their overall development. These camps not only hone a child's team spirit and communication-skills but also nourish their rational skills.

In this light, Manthan Sampoorna Vikas Kendra,  holistic education programme for underprivileged children (initiative by Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan) organises Summer Camps each year. This year's camp from 11 June to 30 June 2018 brought to the children Vedic Math and an Arty Adventure.

Vedic Math is a simplification of the complex math we use these days. Created to increase the ease of calculation, Vedic math contains large addition, subtraction, multiplication and division problems solved in seconds.

During the camp, the students learnt these techniques with immense enthusiasm and portrayed curiosity, in association with Newton Education Academy.

The second part of the camp comprised of art and craft activities wherein the children explored innovative ideas and learnt origami, making best out of waste products, teaching-learning materials, classroom decoration and much more.

The camp consisted of a twist in the tale too. The students celebrated International Yoga Day together as well, as a way to learn the traditional yet scientific and most effective exercising tools to keep us fit and healthy.
