Manthan-Sampoorn Vikas Kendra not only gives students holistic education but also focuses on their overall development. And this time, it is widening its wings to out of the classroom experience by becoming the NGO partner of THE POP STREET that is bringing an exclusive Fashion Lifestyle Exhibition and Fashion Show at one of the leading hospitality chains in India, The Lalit Hotel, New Delhi on 16th February, 2018.
The event in collaboration with Dormio and Prabhatam exhibited collections of various renowned designers and brands for the shopaholics under one roof. Also, the guests Vidya Tikari, celebrity makeup artist Archna vijaya IPl host & VJ, Hemant Chauhan, Abraxas Luxury lifestyle Magazine owner & Top bloggers graced the fashion show with their benign presence. Apart from having a stall in the exhibition to display the products created by Manthanites, 10 students from Badli centre also did ramp walk representing legends like Bhagat Singh, Vivekananda, Acharya Chanakya, Chandragupta, Chandera Shekhar Azad, Bharat Mata, Rani Laxmi Bai, Subhash Chandra Bose, Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam and Maharshi Arvindo Ghosh. The guests were highly impressed on seeing these kids walking confidently and gracefully. Moreover, the items like vases, pen stands, paintings at the stalls were displayed by our Manthan volunteers who explained the onlookers about DJJS and its initiatives. With a theme of ‘Shop for a Cause’, the sales from the stalls will be utilized for broadening the horizons of Manthan SVK. The volunteers also distributed Thank You cards to the attendees for sparing their time to have a look at their collection.
Through such platforms, we are able to spread awareness among the masses about the education of under privileged children and the initiative that Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan in the form of Manthan SVK is taking to uproot the disparity in education. Also, we are able to connect with people who want to do something for the society but are looking for the right direction to bring a better change in the lives of others.
