Initiatives are running with full gusto to enhance the skills and competency of teachers. What came as a new learning opportunity by Manthan was an encouraging five days Capacity Building Workshop for teachers of the Sampoorna Vikas Kendra (SVK) at New Kitchlu Nagar, Ludhiana, Punjab recently.

Underscoring the broad goal of Manthan in the opening session, DJJS Preacher Sadhvi Rajni Bharti talked about suitable practices to be used by teachers in order to provide quality education to students and clear the basic concepts. Thereafter, she suggested teachers to proceed with teaching while making a careful interpretation of children's mentality.

Exhibiting concern for children's education, teachers also raised queries and highlighted constraints faced by them during teaching. This healthy discussion brought satisfaction to the teachers as they pondered on major issues like how to cope with slow learners, how to set a coordination with children's understanding ability etc.

Teachers were also made aware of the 'My Earth, My Responsibility' campaign run under Sanrakshan, an environment based social program of DJJS. They were exhorted to contribute towards environment protection. Beautiful materials made by teachers with the use of old newspapers, sweets boxes and clothes were well appreciated.

Many other activities were also conducted during the workshop to help teachers understand upgraded teaching techniques. It was a crucial workshop that aimed at building a relationship between teachers and students so that the latter could be benefitted with right kind of education.
