Rotaract Club of Shri Guru Gobind Singh College of Commerce (SGGSCC), University of Delhi invited Manthan SVK, DJJS in the event “Aagaaz” - an installation ceremony of the newly elected Rotaract president, Tamish Goyal and his team for the session 2016-17 on 26th October, 2016, with a motto “to live is to help”
The guests at the event comprised of the senior Rotarians, members of parent Rotary club along with Sadhvi Deepa Bharti Ji, Program Coordinator, Manthan-SVK, social initiative of Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan. The main attraction of the event was an enthralling dance performance of Manthanites from Badli SVK that earned lots of applauds and appreciation.
In the presentation given by Rotaractors, of the social endeavors taken up by the club during the previous year marked achievements of flagship projects like Manthan expansion in Patel Nagar, establishing Adult literacy center and Prashiskhan- the sewing & stitching center.
The event was concluded by the pinning ceremony of the newly elected club members wherein the guests and faculty members graced the new team with pride badges.
The college also organized the promotional stall setups of two social initiatives of DJJS – “Antardrishti and Antarkranti”. The products like aroma candles, herbal soaps made by the blinds and handicaps under the initiative Antardrishti and herbal products made by prisoners under Antarkranti program was visited and cherished by guests and students at large.
Sadhvi Deepa Bharti Ji gave a short speech mentioning the fruitful association of Manthan with Rotaract that is not only providing opportunities to the younger generation to work selflessly for the social causes but it is also bringing positive change in the society, bringing smiles on the face of innocent children who are otherwise deprived of their rights and freedom.
She ended with giving best wishes to the new elected President and the team.
