The newly opened Manthan-Sampoorna Vikas Kendra (SVK) at Sekhewal, Basti Jodhewal, Ludhiana, Punjab, is now a temple of learning for more such children whose poor family conditions posed a barrier to their education.
Cheerful Manthanites at this SVK were distributed books and fruit by a sponsor Mrs. Tejinder Kaur on May 1, 2015.
Dwelling on the objective of Manthan in his welcome address, Mr. Tarsem, Project coordinator - Manthan Ludhiana said, "Under the divine grace of His Holiness Shri Ashutosh Maharaj Ji, the Founder and Head of DJJS, Manthan is engaged in shaping the overall personality of children studying at its SVKs. They are being enhanced with moral as well as spiritual teachings."
"Today, school students are provided modern education but there is a decline of moral values. In vedic time, students were bestowed with practical knowledge along with education and it was instrumental in their overall development. Though education is provided in present time, there is a lack of practical knowledge", he added.
Underscoring the inspiring words of His Holiness Shri Ashutosh Maharaj Ji, Mr. Tarsem said, "Shri Maharaj Ji says that every person in this society has right to education. He can attain holistic development by contemplating on himself through his education."
Manthan project was appreciated by the sponsors and guests who were happy to meet the innocent Manthanites and felt gratified to be the part of this noble initiative.
