Yoga is an invaluable gift of India's ancient tradition. Recognizing its universal appeal, on 11 December 2014, the United Nations proclaimed 21 June as International Yoga Day which aims to raise awareness worldwide of the many benefits of practicing yoga.
Paying respect to India's ancient tradition, yoga and vedic chanting sessions have always been an integral part of the activities at Manthan-Sampoorna Vikas Kendra (SVKs). Availing the opportunity offered by this special day, enormous enthusiasm for the occasion was shown by Manthanites, dressed in white, who engaged in this vigorous celebration at various Manthan centres across Delhi.
Another highlight was the pledge session wherein all of them vowed to practice Yoga in their daily life to become an awakened individual and bring pride to their nation. That's how; along with rest of the world, Manthanites got attuned to an occasion that enthused them to enhance their lifestyle with regular practice of Yoga. . Their learning doesn't end here. They are preparing themselves to be the responsible individuals who are holistically developed and will lend a remarkable contribution to their nation's development.
This unique occasion served as a platform to bring all people together to celebrate the invaluable gift of India’s ancient tradition. The proud Manthanities made a strong commitment to nurture and promote this ancient discipline and reaffirm yoga as the manifestation of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam — the world as one family.
