Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan has taken up the initiative Manthan to provide holistic education to underprivileged children, wherein through various Sampoorna Vikas Kendra centres children are being given academic, health, mental, emotional, and all round quality education.
It is evident that for good education, a good educator is a must, and following this belief at Manthan SVK, we organize regular interactive sessions and workshops for training teachers. Through these workshops, knowledge and understanding of various issues is imparted, some being, developing teaching methods, recognizing children’s needs, abilities and capabilities and making necessary changes in teaching style in accordance with the current demand and technological developments.
Teachers are also motivated to try and inculcate morals and values in children through their teaching, so as to make them better leaders for tomorrow. In these workshops, practical activities are also conducted in order to give the teachers experiences of how they teach and how they can teach better.
Manthan SVK organized one such teachers’ training session on 15th of July, 2017, at the head office, Pitampura, New Delhi, wherein teachers from Sampoorna Vikas Kendra’s across Delhi and NCR took part. The main highlight of the workshop remained the discussions and activities based on the new launched book on 'Life Skills’ through which we can teach the students to live life in a better way. The workshop was taken by renowned counsellor and trainer Ms. Uma Narayan along with Ms. Mohita Sharma.
The teachers took extensive interest and knowledge from the workshop and such workshops will surely be conducted by Manthan SVK regularly in future too, to enhance teaching-learning practices.
