Air, water, land, forests, it’s time to take stock of the nature’s resource base which has made earth the living planet. Who better than students- the young inheritors of planet earth, can be to lead this movement of environment change. Upholding this fact DJJS Sanrakshan led My Earth My responsibility Campaign through its student sensitization program is empowering students to lead the city towards a better environmental future. In the same series of efforts, on Friday, 6 Feb 2015, Sanrakshan organised a Sanrakshan Pathshala, at Evershine Public School, Ashok Nagar, Ludhiana.

Students of Evershine Public School empowered to shoulder their Environment responsibility

The agenda of the workshop was to introduce the students with the innate connection human beings share with the nature. Addressing a batch of around 150 students, MEMR Master trainer Doll Bhatti said, “ the water we drink, the air we breathe, the food we eat are all life sustaining gifts mother nature has given us, our duty is to conserve them not plunder them. If we are not careful today our future generations will be left with an earth which is not so living.”

Apprising the students on how humanity has reached this state of environment crisis, MEMR Master Trainers narrated the ‘Story of Mother Earth’ to them. To make learning fun, students were made to perform a small scripted drama revealing simple sustainable living practices which they should adopt in their daily living.
