In response to the mounting environmental crisis, Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan under the banner of its Nature Conservation Program- Sanrakshan organized a unique socio- cultural event named ’ॐ द्यौः शान्ति (Om Dhyaho Shanti ) on 9 June 2019, at Pandit Dindayal Upadhyay Auditorium, 1 Rajpat Rangoli road, Behind Rajpat Club, PRL colony, Bodakdev, Ahmedabad- 380059. The program was special for two reasons; one it celebrated the most significant day in the history of environmental discourse i.e. World Environment Day which stands as a symbol of human awakening towards the cause of nature conservation. The second reason which made the event special was that it was the rendezvous of modern digital India with the ancient Vedic Bharat to unveil not only fool proof environmental solutions but life solutions.
Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister Shri Nitin Bhai Patel graced the event as Chief Guest. Environment compassionate dignitaries namely, Shri Chintan Bhai Upadhyay, Prant Pracharak, R.S.S.; Shri Hanumanprasad Gupta, Philanthropist & Chairman,Shyam Group of Companies; Shri Rajkumar Aggarwal, Director, Shri Shyam Enterprise; Shri Shanti Bhai, Prant Sehkaryvahak, R.S.S.;Shri Ashok Bhai Rawal, Regional Head, V.H.P; Shri Shailesh Bhai Patel, Prant Sehkaryvahak, RSS, Gujarat; Dr. Rajkumar Balyan, Director, Saint Kabir Institute of Professional studies; Mr. Pushpa Bindal, Chiripal Industries; Mrs. Indra Gupta, Honest Restaurant; Shri Somnath Gupta, President, Shri Maharaja Agrasen Sewa Sansthan; Shri Sharad Aggarwal, Chairman, Pir Parayi Foundation; Shri Vaju Bhai Vaghesia, Former President, Laghu Udyog Bharti, R.S.S., Shri Dilip Bhai Pabani, Sangh sanchalak, Naranpura, R.S.S., Naranpura & Shri Devendra Jani, Head Dharam Jagran, Mahanagar Karnavati also marked their presence in support of the cause.
The program commenced with a soulful commentary- based devotional concert putting forth the glorious life- changing principles of Vedic Bharat. Unveiling the theme of the program, daughter disciple of His Holiness Ashutosh Maharaj Ji, head & founder of Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan, Sadhvi Manimala Bharti ji shared the true meaning of the verse Om Dhyaho Shanti as revealed by His Holiness Ashutosh Maharaj ji.

Based on this very premise the program intended to introduce masses to the ancient supreme knowledge- Brahm Gyan which was instrumental in setting peace in restless human mind- the core cause of all human maladies of the times.
Taking the program further, DJJS Environment expert, Sadhvi Aditi Bharti, Environmentalist & PAN- India Program Incharge of DJJS Nature Conservation Program – Sanrakshan, drew attention of the audience to the fact that, though the world is celebrating 44th World Environment Day this year and we have over 50 such days throughout the year dedicated to the cause of environment, but instead of heading a step towards environmental conservation, ironically with each passing year the problem is intensifying. Therefore, this day urges mankind to find a lasting- side- effect free solution to the current environmental crisis.
Highlighting the fact that where modern scientific advancement despite all effort, falls short of this lasting solution, it was Vedic Indian Culture which demonstrated workable pro- environmental development models. Vedas (ancient books of wisdoms written in Sanskrit) behold deep scientific principles of unity of life, nature conservation and sustainable living encoded in its various prayers to God almighty; Bhoomi Suktam, Apah Suktam, Kshetrpati Suktam, prayer to the rivers etc. to name a few. Sages and seers, the Indian super scientists had realized this Vedic knowledge and based on this realization, they crafted sustainable holistic living systems.
Taking the audience from problem towards solution, Sadhvi ji, introduced an ancient environmental case- study documented in Shrimad Devi Bhagwat Mahapuran, an ancient scripture of Indian tradition. The case- study was presented in front of the audience through a unique theatrical performance – “Durgam Vadh” by the team of selfless youth volunteers of DJJS.
Subsequently, Sadhvi Darshita Bharti, another disciple of His Holiness Ashutosh Maharaj Ji, apprised the audience about a unique digital campaign named #EkAchiAadat, a sanrakshan initiative designed on the basic premise, that Indian living systems are naturally imbued with 4R’s :Rethink, Reduce, Reuse and Recycle, the basic principles of sustainable living, reviving and propagating these Green Habits can take us a long way in achieving sustainable environmental management. A short concept video of the campaign was also screened in the program.
Hon’ble Chief Guest Shri Nitin Bhai Patel, Deputy CM, Gujarat, Shri Chintan Bhai Upadhyay, Prant Pracharak, R.S.S., Shri Humanprasad Gupta, Philanthropist & Chairman Shyam Group of Companies and Shri Rajkumar Aggarwal, Director, Shri Shyam Enterprise raised posters and inaugurated the campaign in Ahmedabad.
In addition, DJJS distributed 1000 tulsi saplings urging the audience towards pro- environmental living. The program was followed by a dinner against a theme- based sanrakshan exhibition showcasing the voluminous work done on the subject by DJJS.
