On 11 June 2019, DJJS Sanrakshan Nature Conservation troop organized its unique socio- cultural event Om Dhyaho Shanti (’ॐ द्यौः शान्ति’) for the residents of Dungarpur, Rajasthan at Rajamata Vijya Raje Sindhiya Auditorium, Near New Hospital, Dungarpur, Rajasthan. The program was a unique opportunity for Dungarpur city, already making a mark in cleanliness and greenery at National level, to swifty head on the path of sustainability.

Shri Chetan Deora Ji, District Magistrate & District Collector, Dungarpur & Shri Mansharam Suthar Ji, District Judge  Family Court & Additional District and Session Judge, Dungarpur graced the event as Chief guests. Dr. S. Sarath Babu Ji (IFS), Deputy Conservator of Forests and Shri B. R. Paलwar Ji, Regional Officer, Air Pollution Control were the Guests of Honor. In addition, Shri K.K Gupta Ji, Chairman, Nagar Parishad, Dungarpur & Yuvrani Priydarshani Ji, Rajdarbar, Dungarpur were specials guests to the event.

The program commenced with a soulful devotional concert, anchored by Sadhvi Manimala Bharti Ji, daughter disciple of His Holiness Ashutosh Maharaj Ji. Apprising the audience of the core meaning of the shanti mantra and setting the theme of the program Sadhvi ji said, “Mankind is craving for peace, infact the story of development is actually the story of human search for peace and prosperity. Unfortunately, restless human mind in search of peace, in due course, has actually proliferated unrest all around. Therefore the Vedic shanti mantra ’ॐ द्यौः शान्ति’ is actually an invocation calling for peace of mind. When the mind is at peace, peace is attained.”

The pious devotional concert was followed by the traditional Indian lamp lighting ceremony by the guests. Subsequently, DJJS environment expert and Pan- India Program Incharge Sadhvi Aditi Bharti Ji took the audience towards a unique theatrical performance of an ancient environmental case- study written in Shrimad Devi Bhagwat Mahapuran. She explained, “it is not just an exaggerated story from the past rather is a perfect parallel showcasing not only the gravity of the current environmental crisis but also revealing the fool proof solution to the problem.”

The audience was left awestruck at the sight of remarkable performance by young DJJS Nature conservators and selfless disciples of His Holiness Ashutosh Maharaj Ji, head and founder of Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan.

Later, Sadhvi Bhagirathi Bharti Ji, DJJS Dungarpur branch coordinator Dungarpur, urged the audience to consciously hold on to sustainable Indian living practices to ensure a green ecological footprint. She unveiled the concept of DJJS Sanrakshan digital campaign #EkAchiAadat and appealed to the audience to transform it into an environmental movement in Dungarpur. Hon’ble guests inaugurated #EkAchiAadat the sustainable living campaign in Dungarpur.

In a special address, Hon’ble Chairman, Nagar Parishad, Shri K.K. Gupta Ji drew attention of the audience towards the great environmental feats achieved by the Parishad. Appreciating the DJJS initiative he urged the audience to take learning from the program and firmly adopt sustainable living practices steering Dungarpur towards being a pro-environmental society.

Further, Shri B.R. Pawar, R.O., Air Pollution Control emphasized the importance of trees in controlling air pollution and urged audience to plant at least one tree in their lifetime as well as educate their children to carry the practice from generation to generation.

Dr. S. Sarath Babu (IFS), Deputy conservator of forests in his address stressed up monitoring our consumption patterns and our choices to ensure balanced ecological footprints. Further Hon’ble Chief guest, Shri Mansharam Suthar, District Judge Family Court & Additional District and Session Judge, Dungarpur, appreciated DJJS initiative and motivated audience to adopt the things they have learned from the program in their daily life. Last but not the least, Shri Chetan Deora, DM & DC, Dungarpur shared his own green habit of consciously planning a Sunday travel route as per the shopping list in order to save fuel and reduce pollution. He motivated the audience to adopt #EkAchiAadat for protecting and handing over a green earth to future generations.

The program ended with a formal vote of thanks by Swami Adityanand Ji, President, DJJS. The program was followed by a dinner against a sensitizing Sanrakshan exhibition. Also, over 700 saplings were distributed to the participants as a gesture of pro- active environmental action.
