When things don’t go as planned then government is compelled to enforce the law so that society will act in an organized manner and those who violate norms would be subject to punishment provisions. Likewise, in an attempt to curb female feticide, the Indian Government enacted the Pre Conception Pre Natal Diagnostic Techniques (PCPNDT) Act 1994, which prohibits sex selection and regulates prenatal diagnostic techniques to prevent their misuse. Though, law is important because it acts as a guidelines as to what is accepted in the society but no law can be succeeded without an adequate social support. With a view to enable effective implementation of PCPNDT Act by raising societal consciousness, an awareness program named “Daughters are Angels” for people with medical science background was organised by Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan under the banner of Santulan in collaboration with Indian Radiological & Imaging Association Punjab (IRIA) on 16th June, 2019 at Punjab Institute of Medical Science (PIMS), Jalandhar.

Sadhvi Ji shed light on the need of balance between two genders for the society to run and said that today everybody is sloganeering “save girl child, educate girl child” but gender equilibrium cannot be established unless and until we don’t execute the said slogan in our life. Further, Sadhvi Ji with the help of videos and statistical data illustrated how to knock out stress from life. Sadhvi Ji said that though everyone should stay away from stress but it is very important for doctors to be in a perfect state of mind because their profession cannot compromise with any sort of anxiety. Sadhvi Ji said that as per a study, it has been found that 40% of stuff going on in a person’s mind includes imaginarily things, 30% includes old incidences, 12% includes balderdash, 10% includes daily happenings and only 8% includes actual problems out of which only 4% are under control of the person and rest 4% are uncontrollable. Hence, we must focus on better things in our life and kick out pointless thoughts from our mind.
