Dedicating to the cause of raising societal consciousness for alleviation of women, DJJS celebrated Teej-festival for girl child at Manawala Ashram, Amritsar on August 9, 2013, as a part of its continued mass sensitization and self-awakening through knowledge creation approach, across India. The program commenced with a dance performance 'Ganesh Vandna'. An enlightening lecture was delivered by Sadhavi Uma Bharti ji demystifying the myths and misconceptions prevalent in society against women, being the major cause of increasing female feticide. She accentuated on spiritual empowerment as a remedy to attain balanced society and mould the rotten mindsets. The awareness generation session targeted more than 2500 attendees.
