The International Women’s Day initiative of DJJS Santulan was selected by the Worldwide International Women’s Day (IWD) organization as the IWD 2019 ‘Best Practice’ under the Category of ‘Grassroots Impact’ for driving meaningful change in the society. The Case Study of DJJS Santulan has been published on the global portal of International Women’s Day. Over 300 high quality entries were received by the IWD team from participants around the world under different categories: #BalanceforBetter Video, Community Services Activity, Sporting Sector, Public Sector, Media Sector, Best IWD Cake, Associations/Networks, Charity Sector, Grassroots Impact, Marketing/PR Agencies, IWD #BalanceforBetter Photograph, Education Sector, Private Sector and IWD Event Pack use. In every category, 2 to 6 participants were shortlisted by the IWD team for their remarkable events except Media Sector category and Grassroots Impact category, wherein only 1 participant each has been selected. And Its a matter of India’s pride that in the category of ‘Grassroots Impact’, Santulan initiative of Divya Jyoti Hagrati Sansthan is the only winner chosen around the world for accelerating Gender Parity by Awakening of Societal Consciousness through the instrumentality of Spirituality, a unique perspective of the founder and head of the organization HH Ashutosh Maharaj Ji.

Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan under the banner of its Gender Equality Program ‘Santulan’ conducts splendiferous events every year in different parts of the country on account of International Women’s Day (IWD). This year too, in line with the International Women’s Day 2019 theme #BalanceForBetter, the organization conducted IWD events in various cities of India vis-à-vis Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Delhi, Assam and Karnataka with an aim to re-strike the lost gender balance not just in numbers but in value, respect, regard and leadership too. Santulan’s IWD comprehensive events included its yearly Annual Santulan Awards events applauding the remarkable contributions of women achievers and also a series of a unique theatrical workshop namely Amrapali’s journey of true empowerment. These events were a happy mix of dance ballets, thought provoking lectures and skits to set forth the audacity of spirituality in bringing out women enslavement of pseudo empowering concepts.

IWD team (www.internationalwomensday.com) is a global community supported by renowned groups and entities from all over the world which promote the United Nations’ initiative of International Women’s Day (IWD) worldwide. The team believes that IWD is not country, group or organization specific, rather it belongs to all groups collectively everywhere. Hence, it conducts a competition every year for encouraging gender parity in the world and invites participants from all around the world which have conducted IWD events in an innovative and effective way. Those participants who succeeded in engaging audiences and communities to help accelerate women’s equality were shortlisted as an example of the best practice.

AXA Business Services (India), IBM Systems Lab Services (Worldwide), Peel Regional Police (Canada), Australian Football League's Sydney Swans and GWS Giants (Australia), British Army (UK), High Commissioner of Canada to Guyana & Suriname (Canada), HCL Technologies (Worldwide), Serco: Kohuora Auckland South Corrections Facility (NZ), Siroptomist International, Newtown (Trinidad & Tobago), Alnahda Society for Women (Saudi Arabia), Town Hall Symphony Hall (UK), and Give Girls a Chance (Nigeria) are some of the winners from other categories of the competition.

IWD team’s 2019 partners include Metlife (MetLife is among the largest global providers of insurance, annuities, and employee benefit programs, with 90 million customers in over 60 countries), F5 Networks (F5 Networks, Inc. is a global company that specializes in application services and application delivery networking) and HCL Technologies (HCL Technologies is a next-generation global technology company that helps enterprises re-imagine their businesses for the digital age). Moreover, IWD team’s 2019 supporters includes Amazon, Capgemini, Vodafone, The University of Sheffield, European Bank, AECOM, Mc Donalds, Honeywell and many more.

Santulan is moving briskly towards its objective of establishment of gender equality as well as equity in the society on the firm foundation of spirituality and thus, bringing about a substantial transformation in the mindsets of the people in gender perspective.
