Ayurveda as traditional Indian system of medicine is finding place in contemporary lifestyles as no-side-effect alternative medication system. Identifying Ayurveda as an intangible cultural heritage and a Vedic medicine system, we conduct various advocacy sessions in institutes, workplaces and societies to generate awareness over Ayurveda as natural course of complete health and wellbeing. Special Ayurvedic Health Camps are organized in communities and free consultation is provided wherein Ayurvedic medicines are prescribes for treatment. Combining medicinal herbs and cow products such as cow’s urine, dung, ghee, curd etc with classic techniques of grinding and burning as prescribed in the ayurveda, Aarogya undertakes a rigorous research and development exercise in its ayurvedic research center – Shri Ashutosh Maharaj Ji Ayurvedic Pharmacy (SAMAP) situated at Nurmahal Ashram in Punjab. For the patients with chronic lung disease or asthma, special camp is organized every year on Sharad Purnima (full moon night in winter) as a practice of traditional Indian treatment system and patients are fetched ayurvedic medicine in full moon night along with kheer (a sweet made of condensed milk and boiled rice).
