Celebrating Diversity is the theme of Samarth 2014 organised by Department of Disability Affairs under Ministry of Social Justice And Empowerment. Organised in collaborating with the A.L.P.A.N.A. Society of New Delhi at the Siri Fort Auditorium, event comprised of national level dance and music competitions specially for differently abled artists of any age. The two day event was inaugurated on 15th Jan by Smt. Sonia Gandhi,President AICC and UPA. The main sponsors for the event was NTPC limited.

27 institutions, organisations and schools from different parts of the country participate in the event. Kumari Shailaja,Union Minister of Social Justice and Empowerment presided over the validatory function and honoured the winners with the certificates and cash prizes to the winners.

Antardrishti participated in Samarth 2014 with musical performances under two categories – solo vocal, and group performance. The 16 member band of Antardrishti, which is a unique all-diverse group of differently abled singers, empowered by BrahmGyan, bagged the first prize under both categories at the event.

Chief guest for music competition was veteran music director and singer of bollywood Ravindra Jain who himself happens to be a person with visual impairment, congratulated all the contestants for their dedication for music, enthusiasm and for maintainaing a positive attitude towards life, notwithstanding their day to day hardships which they underwent.

The participating team of Antardrishti was overwhelmed with joy for the appreciation they got from everyone.They came back with renewed energy and achieved an optimistic approach to live their life with dignity.
