Active Participation of 'Kamdhenu' at Krishi Unnati Mela at PUSA, New Delhi

Kamdhenu Project, first of its kind, is an initiative of Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan which aims at preservation, breed improvement and creating awareness regarding use of Indian breed of cows.

Started about a decade ago, the project has come a long way from creating awareness to conducting innovations and turning new grounds for scientific research. It has come a long way since then as the program has gained traction amongst scientist, agriculturist and political class. It has not only addressed professionals, researchers but also enthusiasts all over the world.

One such event ‘Krishi Unnati Mela' was organized by Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare (Govt. of India) at Mela Ground, Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI), PUSA, New Delhi from 16th to 18th March 2018.  On March 17, the Honorable Prime Minister of India Shri Narendra Modi Ji addressed all the farmers gathered in the event.  Ministry of Agriculture extended a special invitation to the representatives of ‘DJJS Kamdhenu Gaushala’. Ministry of Agriculture had also organized a special address by experts on various topics for all the farmers present there.

DJJS actively participated in the event and put up the Kamdhenu exhibition to make the audience aware of the importance of indigenous breed of cows. Apart from thousands of farmers, Shri Radha Mohan Singh Ji (Union Minister of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Govt. of India), Smt. Krishna Raj Ji (Central Minister of State for Agriculture and Farmers Welfare) and many more scientists marked their presence at the stall of Kamdhenu Gaushala. The literature concerning the different activities conducted under this project was under display and distributed to create awareness and interest of the masses.
