During a rigorous ten days campaigning against the proliferation of drug abuse within the communities, Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan, headed and mentored by His Holiness Ashutosh Maharaj Ji, kicked off an awareness campaign for giving a wakeup call to the inhabitants here. In the last few months, an abrupt increase in the no. of cases of drug addicts has been observed including the children of 6-15 years of age respectively who as well seem to be experimenting with the counter and recreational drugs, which is so much so alarming as it has pushed up the no. of crime attacks, cases of domestic violence and the ratio of school drop outs.

Therefore, in order to handle and control the situation, the branch office of DJJS under its Drug Abuse Eradication Program Bodh has initiated one to one and mass awareness activities within the area. The sole aim of these events is to generate an eye or a contemplative thoughtprocess amongst the masses over the repercussions with regards to the usages of such intoxicating products and on how this problem does not only affect one single aspect of one's personality in isolation but takes the mental, physical and psychological toll of the whole of the family and the society in totality. Through skits, quizzes, rallies, one to one counselling and distribution of communication material, the Bodh team has covered the following ten communities:

More than 6,000 people got benefitted from the events. Many local authorities and police officials also appreciated the efforts made by the organization against this grave issue in the society.
