As they say “Your eyes are your window to the world- But a very few of us realise that these windows require proper care and protection.
Aarogya, the holistic health program of Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan took an initiative to spread awareness amongst masses about primary eye care and health so that chronic eye problems could be avoided.
For the same, a Training of Trainer (ToTs) session was conducted with more than 20 volunteers under PEC (Primary Eye Care Center) under “Comprehensive Eye Care Project” a collaborative community eye care initiative by DJJS Aarogya and Dr. Rajendra Prasad, Centre of Ophthalmic Sciences (RPC), AIIMS, New Delhi.
Expert ophthalmologists are aligned to train these volunteers for various procedures related to eye care and eye health such as distance vision screening procedure, near vision screening procedure etc. Thereafter these volunteers can render their selfless services to further educate the society/ local communities and help in early detection and timely prevention of eye diseases.
These training sessions are highly interactive with the majority of time spent in practice and application and participants also get to train under highly experienced staff from AIIMS.
If you want to participate in these training sessions, please DM us for further details.
