She, with an informative demonstration and educative activities further explained about the various nuances of the subject and also factually stated that consumption of any intoxicant changes the behavior and functioning pattern of the brain.  She too expounded “Basically, brain cells communicate with each other and to other parts of the body and if there’s a change in the structure and layout of their functioning, it’s going to change the whole pattern of communication, impacting upon one's behavior completely”.

Through flash videos, she showcased how dopamine secretion judges the behavior pattern of a being which gets disturbed because intoxicants temper with the natural release of dopamine resulting into its unbounded secretion which makes us experience unnatural or uncontrolled pleasure and unbreakable attachment to what we have consumed.

After long term drug abuse, the dopamine level consequently drops down which leads to higher consumption of intoxicating substances because one tries to get that feeling of pleasure back. This can definitely get someone addicted to the substance.

Various questions were posed during the Q&A session held along with the distribution of reading material and educative handouts to all the participants.
