Sanskarshala is one of its kind monthly workshops that are organized for children aged 4 to 12 years by Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan’s (DJJS) Holistic education program, Manthan - Sampoorna Vikas Kendra (SVK). In collaboration with DJJS's Social initiative program designed to support and empower the visually impaired, Antardrishti, the August 2024 workshop was anchored by a unifying theme that resonated deeply across all 37 Antardrishti Sanskarshala-s. This program is dedicated to the comprehensive development of individuals with visual impairments, offering a range of educational, vocational and rehabilitation services. Its mission is to empower them to lead independent and meaningful lives by equipping them with essential life skills, facilitating access to career opportunities and fostering social integration. Guided by DJJS’s vision of uplifting marginalized communities, the initiative blends spiritual empowerment with practical support, enabling participants to thrive in both personal and professional spheres.
These initiatives touched the lives of nearly 1500 children, spanning DJJS branches, schools across the nation and the NRI communities, driving broad participation and creating a lasting impact. Sanskarshala workshops were also conducted in schools namely,
1. Maharashtra Swami Dayanand School in Latur
2. Haryana Divine child play school, Sector 91 in Faridabad
3. Madhya Pradesh Shaskiya High School in Gwalior
Antardrishti Sanskarshala guided children in exploring their inner selves through hands-on activities and insightful storytelling sessions. The session encouraged a shift in perspective, emphasizing on individuals who are not disabled rather differently abled. Students were guided on how to connect with and support people who have overcome these challenges, fostering empathy and a deeper understanding. They learned how these individuals navigate their lives with positivity, achieving success in various fields like art, education, and sports through persistence, confidence, hard work, and passion. The workshop also included presentations and videos highlighting the Antardrishti social initiative which continues to empower individuals by fostering resilience, independence and inclusivity. Through its unwavering commitment to holistic development, such workshops pave the way for children to thrive into transformative individuals through its various social programs.
