Giving is not just about making a donation. It is about making a difference. Giving is the greatest act of grace. Winston Churchill has very well quoted that “We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give”. There are many in this world who are not fortunate enough to have the greatest gift of education available to them. Acting as a symbol of hope for them, Manthan-SVK provides education to these underprivileged children as an initiative by Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan. Many sponsors support this initiative by being a part of this. Two such donation camps were organized at Manthan, New Kitchlu Nagar centre on 19th November 2019 and 27th November 2019. Bags and sweaters were distributed to the students during these drives.
Sponsors Mr. Ajay Kumar Garg and Mrs. Anu Gupta from Chandigarh were a part of bag distribution drive whereas Mr. Balbir Gupta (President of Shri Durga Sewa Sangh) distributed the sweaters to 59 students. Swami Gurukirpanand Ji, Swami Prakashanand Ji and Sadhvi Rajni Bharti Ji were present as Manthan representatives. Swami Ji briefed the guests about the initiatives taken by Manthan and various activities undertaken by the project. He told the guests about the various co-curricular activities done by the students. He also shared the academic reports of the students with the sponsors. Mr. Ajay Kumar Garg Ji appreciated the efforts undertaken by Manthan and also commented upon the eagerness and happiness reflected on the children’s faces and their actions. Mrs. Anu Gupta Ji also acknowledged the efforts of Manthan in improving the life of these students and was overwhelmed by the enthusiastic response received by the students. They distributed sweets, bags and fruits to the students. Mr. Balbir Gupta Ji appreciated the project and expressed his gratitude and happiness to be a part of this initiative. He also wished students all the best for their future. Students were quite enthusiastic about the events and also recited poems for the guests.
