As the nation is celebrating Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav to commemorate 75 years of Independence, SAM Workshops, the Youth empowerment initiative of Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan geared up to organize a grand event in the National Capital to mark the martyrdom of young revolutionaries Shaheed Bhagat Singh, Shivaram Rajguru and Sukhdev Thapar who immortalized their names in the prime of their youth and igniting the flames of patriotism and self-esteem in the hearts of every citizen thus, inspiring them to stand and fight for India’s independence.

Balidan Yaad Rahe!-  A Tribute by SAM on Balidan Diwas at Nehru Place Market

The 'Balidan Yaad Rahe' event, organized in line with the ‘Freedom Struggle’ theme, was supported by the Ministry of Culture, Government of India. The event was held at Nehru Place Market, New Delhi and witnessed an audience of over 8000.

The key highlights of the event were: -

  • An electrifying performance by Eternal Bliss, SAM’s in-house fusion band and a social media sensation that rose to international fame with its very state-of-the-art concept. The band composes its music based on lyrics from the texts of ancient Indian scriptures fused with modern lingo that inspires youth. On ‘Shaheedi Diwas’ the band performed some of their hit fusion numbers like Jatt Gabru Veer, Rockini and Purnamadah.
  • A soul-stirring ballet retelling the tale of our brave revolutionaries by SAM’s in-house performing arts group Eternal Splendour. The ballet elucidated how Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev and Rajguru aren’t just a chapter in India’s history but, perfect youth icons for today’s Gen-Z as well.
  • An insightful talk by Sadhvi Parma Bharti Ji, Member, DJJS who quoted “ You can discover the real youth inside you through the eternal science of Self-Realization… the time tested technique to throw away all weaknesses and negativities and have a personality bubbling with real strength! ”
  • An absolutely stunning performance by internationally acclaimed dance performer Shraey Khanna, who is also a member of SAM and who highly believes in the organization’s motto and philosophy.

The event saw the esteemed presence of dignitaries such as Shri Ramesh Bidhuri Ji, Member of Parliament, South Delhi who thoroughly appreciated SAM’s cause of youth empowerment and nation building. Additionally participating in the program was Swami Narendranand Ji, Secretary (DJJS), whose appearance boosted everyone’s enthusiasm multi-fold. After extensive engagement campaigns in the colleges of Delhi University, thousands of youngsters from all corners of the city came together to participate in this heartfelt tribute to our revolutionaries.
