Although a parent’s role in their children’s learning evolves as kids grow, one thing remains constant: Parents are children’s learning models. Their attitudes about education can inspire the kids and show them how to take charge of their own educational journey. Thus, parenting is a very responsible role. Manthan – the holistic education program of DJJS (Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan) recognizes this fact and thus facilitates regular Parent Teacher Meeting (PTM) in various centers of Manthan SVK to encourage parity in the thought process of the teachers and the parents and lead to the overall growth and development of the students.
Henceforth, a PTM was held at Manthan SVK, Dwarka, New Delhi on 15thSep’16 where approximately 50 parents participated. Sadhvi Mahayoga Bharti and Sadhvi Suman Bharti Ji, preachers DJJS, addressed the parents on how can they be a role model for their kids. Referring day-to day life examples the mentors very clearly explicated the parenting roles and its importance in child’s growth.
Connecting well with the topic, parents were highly responsive towards the counseling tips provided. At the end of the sessions parents appreciated the selfless efforts of DJJS Manthan program and urged to expand the center from 5th standard onwards to benefit the students further.
