Beginning of bhakti begins by remembering God with every breath and taking his divine name as much as possible. For illustrating the importance of taking divine’s name, a Bhajan Sandhya: Bhaj Govindam was organized by non-profit socio-spiritual organization, Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan (DJJS). Founded and headed by His Holiness Ashutosh Maharaj Ji, DJJS believes that world peace can only be achieved by implanting the seed of self-realization in every being.
The event took place on 29th January 2017 in Moga, Punjab and listened to eternal love songs of devotion and divine message orated by disciple Sadhvi Shyama Bharti Ji. Devotional Concert began with devotional songs presented by disciples of Shri Ashutosh Maharaj Ji. When heart falls in love with divine, it sings the victories, qualities of lord and feelings of renunciation and devotion. Same was expressed in Bhajans which made devotee’s heart dance. This was followed by spiritual lecture delivered by Sadhvi Shyama Bharti Ji. She informed that how past sins can be nullified just by taking divine name and how mind can be cleansed with the thoughts of god.
She further explained that name of god is not bound to any language, religion, community, realm or time. It is embodied with in us in the form of our breaths. The sound of taking in and relieving breath is the divine name. And person can completely transform from material being to selfless being if he sits in meditation and listens to divine music of his breath. Self-realization is only possible when perfect master gifts us with Brahm Gyan which involves seeing Divine Light, listening to Divine Music, taking Holy Name and drinking Holy Nectar. This complete form of meditation transforms a being from inside. Just the way a knowledgeable person can impart knowledge similarly only an awakened person can bring change in the society, not by changing outer world but by changing his inner realm.
Apart from various spiritual discourses, DJJS also conducts various social awareness programs. Selfless volunteers gather together to make the dream of their master come true. Workshops conducted under Bodh warn people about the ill effects of drug addiction and demonstrate the path to get free from it. Santulan is one such project where focus is on women equality, women empowerment etc. Similar various initiatives have been taken by Sansthan to make this world a better place.
