The target group of these workshops comprises of youth (students), teachers and other school staff.
These workshops are generally kicked off with some ice breaking activities followed by a very interesting quiz on what is reality and what is myth regarding the burning issue of drug abuse especially prescribed drugs which are available over the counter along with legal gateway drugs like cigarettes, alcohol, thinners, paan, khaini, whiteners etc.
Simultaneously dealing with the subject on the lack of understanding over the proper and controlled usage of prescription drugs, students are also disseminated with an insightful detailed description about both legal and illegal drugs which are banned but are prescribed by the in-experienced physicians when it comes to the unconstitutional ones.
The devotee disciples of His Holiness Ashutosh Maharaj Ji and also the profound experts on the subject of Drug Abuse and Its addiction lays a detailed emphasis on how drugs directly hit the nervous system of the brain and alter its functioning by referring to “addiction life cycle graph”.
This graph is a well-developed module created with the help of various organizations actively working globally on the subject. The subject matter as -a -whole and the various convoluted and paradoxical situations around the issue are also discussed upon with the help of various tools like theatre, demonstrations, video screening, educative and interactive games, quizzes etc. by the DJJS volunteers.
At the end all the participants take a pledge to neither consume drugs themselves nor allow anyone to take around them.
