With the overwhelming response, the support beyond imagination and an uncontrollable enthusiasm received, BODH, the Drug Abuse Eradication Program of Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan proficiently consummated a youth event at Lovely professional University in Punjab. It was indeed worth seeing, when students were replying to the questions of quiz, put across by Sadhvi Omprabha Bharti Ji, disciple of His Holiness Ashutosh Maharaj Ji, Founder and Head of the organization.
Sadhvi Ji, began her lecture by questioning the much hyped and fabricated definition of youth today. Students responded in the best of their capacity that showed the skewed horizon of their definition of youth, the one who parties, dances in the club, takes on the risky way of life, doesn’t care about the good and bad, lives in the cocoon of his own off-centred beliefs and perceptions. She later elaborated upon how this cultural shift and altercations in the beliefs of people have given birth to the problem of drug abuse, especially in Punjab as the largest and biggest threat, bringing approximately 75.3% of people under its bloody claw.
“Lack of information and that too in a correct manner and at the right time acts as a fuel in the fire that has burnt the state of Punjab, which was once entitled as the most prosperous state of India,” Said Sadhvi Ji.
Followed by this, a rally was conducted by some of the torchbearers within the university in order to lighten up the hearts of the rest, towards drug free and happy life. They visited various departments sensitizing students, staff and the respective management about the issue and how it is engulfing not only the life of a user but his whole family as well.
The management appreciated the program and eulogized the dedicated and focussed efforts of the organiser aiming to establish a drug free Society.
