On 9  March 2018,  the Dehradun team of Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan founded/mentored by His Holiness Ashutosh Maharaj ji under its initiative Bodh – the Drug Abuse Eradication Program, visited Shivalik Engineering College in Dehradun on account of propagating the message of “Say No to Drugs in Life”. More than 200 students along with 8 teachers attended the workshop which joyfully kicked off with some ice breaking activities followed by a very interesting quiz on what is reality and what is myth on the burning contemporary issue of drug abuse.

Simultaneously dealing with the subject on the lack of understanding over the proper and controlled usage of prescription drugs, students were disseminated with an insightful detailed description about both legal and illegal drugs which are banned but though prescribed by the non-experienced physicians when it comes to the unconstitutional ones. Sadhvi Ritambhara Bharti Ji and Sadhvi Jahanavi Bharti ji, devotee disciples of His Holiness Ashutosh Maharaj Ji and also a profound expert on the subject of Drug Abuse and Its addiction laid a detailed emphasis on how drugs directly hit the nervous system of the brain and alter its functioning by referring to “addiction life cycle graph”. This graph is a well-developed module created with the help of various organizations actively working globally on the subject. The subject matter as -a -whole and the various convoluted and paradoxical situations around the issue were also enacted upon with the help of a theatre performance by the DJJS volunteers.

The program was very well received by the students and the program was well appreciated by the honorary principal of that educational institution.
