At the level of pan India, various branches of Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan headed and founded by His Holiness Ashutosh Maharaj Ji, celebrated the festival of Diwali in a very peculiar way by disseminating the message, ‘celebrate this Diwali the drug free way’ . Through rallies, street plays, art sessions, debates, speeches, institutional workshops etc, large number of people have been sensitized towards such a sensitive issue which has been dealt with by the organization under its project, Bodh.
Though for years, the festival of Diwali has been celebrated by all the sections of the society including people from all walks of life and background, yet deep down the line, the means and methods of celebrations have been misconstrued & misinterpreted because of confined mindsets and vested interests of self-centered minority groups. Therefore, practices like consumption of alcohol, gambling, smoking, abusing harder drugs are some of the habits that are being prioritized and proliferated at large for so many years that these days, acts as such are counted very obvious into consideration. In order to break the longstanding myths and such sprouted habits, we under the banner of JAAGO have organized events at various branches of the nation.
