Tobacco kills 150 people every hour in south East Asia, states WHO

Children raised the baton to raise awareness on 'second hand smoke' at Jodhpur, Rajasthan

The ‘chalta hai’ attitude has done a greater harm to the entire country than any other malady because it damagingly shades a person from the obvious. There is no any medium left with which people are not reached out for generating awareness on harmful effects of consuming tobacco. If we are supposedly stuck in the traffic even for a minute, we look out for every possible way be it legal or illegal just to get out of in order to save our valuable time, for we respect and care for every moment of ours, sometimes even at the stake of our lives but it is always contrary on our parts as when it comes to smoking, we always seem to be ready in losing the most precious 11 minutes on each cigarette smoke just for the sake of few moments of presumptuous highness. This is because the damage is not tangibly visible and moreover our ‘chalta hai’ attitude hastily manifests in our behaviour time and again.

Therefore, throughout this month starting from 31 may 2016 to June 2016; we have launched an ‘anti-tobacco month’ in order to break people's longstanding mythical adherence to ‘chalta hai’ way of life. As part of this campaign, the Jodhpur branch of Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan founded/mentored by His Holiness Ashutosh Maharaj ji under its [Drug Abuse Eradication Program] Bodh has organized an event comprising of motivational songs, drawing boards and comedy skits, with more than 70 children for letting them know once again that this is the high time for ‘chalta hai’ attitude to be shunned as it otherwise can take heavy toll on one's life, wealth and health undoubtedly.
