This short extract from the Taittiriya Upanishad sets down the principles for giving which implies - Give with faith and reverence. Do not give without faith. Give as much as you can accord your wealth. Give with modesty. Give with awe. Give with empathy.
Manthan - Sampoorna Vikas Kendra, every year celebrates Teachers’ Day to heartily tribute the contributions made by countless number of teachers and volunteers in moulding Manthan students and in turn shaping the future of India. On this occasion, Manthan SVK, commemorated Teachers’ Day with a grand ceremonial opening of Daan Utsav (The Joy of Giving) from 5th September to 31st October 2022. The philanthropic festival was inaugurated by Swami Narendranand Ji, Secretary, Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan, on 4th September 2022, at the Divya Dham Ashram, Delhi. More than 100 teachers and volunteers from across the country congregated this special day.
At the event, Swami Narendranand Ji was felicitated with a welcome card and bouquet by DJJS volunteers. Swami Ji spoke, through an impactful address to the gathering, highlighting the importance of ‘giving’ from which one can realize the essence of ‘satisfaction’ through the generous contributions and gain peace in 'giving.’ Swami Ji’s speech was Live streamed on the ‘DJJSManthanSVK’ Instagram account wherein, he explained that the teachers and volunteers are building valuable assets in shaping the future destiny of India. Swami Ji initiated the Daan Utsav by donating in the basket of joy, followed by the teachers, Preachers, and volunteers.
The day commenced with Tilak ceremony and thereafter, everyone paid their humble salutations at the lotus feet of His Holiness Shri Ashutosh Maharaj Ji. The teachers and volunteers were felicitated with a welcome speech and a magnificent dance presentation on Guru Vandana was performed by the DJJS volunteer. Teachers were given accolade citing 13 award categories and appreciation certificates were distributed along with a token of gift. Inspirational Teachers’ Day videos, experience sharing videos of Preachers from offline centres at Ludhiana, Bihar and Faridabad/Gurugram and online classes review by teacher were shown on the day along with getting teachers engaged in fun activities like treasure hunt - finding treasure (alphabets) ‘Thank You Manthan, Thank You Maharaj Ji,’ and various classical dance performances by DJJS volunteers.
Sadhvi Deepa Bharti, Program Coordinator Manthan SVK, DJJS hosted this magnanimous event and briefed the teachers and volunteers on Daan Utsav celebration through a video presentation. Lastly, teachers recorded their testimonies about Manthan SVK. Sadhvi Ji concluded the event with a note of thanks to all the teachers and volunteers for their unparalleled contribution in this journey.
