"World's 3rd largest problem- Drug Abuse, Still not discussed openly”
To break this trend, Bodh- the drug abuse eradication program of Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan organized an advocacy session for the general masses of Pithoragarh, Uttarakhand on 19 Jan 2015. The session aimed to provide people with the right knowledge so that they can take right decisions at the right time.
The session began with a brief introduction of the organization, Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan and its initiative Bodh. Following which, Representative, DJJS, disciple of His Holiness Shri Ashutosh Maharaj Ji, head and founder of DJJS and also an expert on drug abuse and human psychology, discussed the issue with the audience.
In order to get the concepts properly understood, flipcharts were used to explain the audience in detail several topics like what are Drugs and its types, reasons of drug abuse and why people fall for its addiction.
Quoting the His Holiness words “Only through spirituality can the mental obsession be totally cured and relapses prevented; as the Atman (the real self) is the utmost higher level of human existence where, when one reaches, there is no falling down”, he said ‘Every decisions counts in your life, so think before you do’.
The session concluded with a musical performance, where the words of inspiration blend into melodious songs, motivated the audience to be free from the clutches of Drugs and assertively ‘Say No’ to it. The audience received the program well and looked forward for the upcoming programs.
Bodh- the drug abuse eradication program of DJJS, works for the elimination of drug abuse and eradication of drug demand through ‘Dhyan Therapy’ , thereby transforming the drug afflicted society into an abuse free society ; where people are mentally, emotionally and spiritually strong to safeguard themselves and the society against drug addiction and substance abuse.
