The problem of female feticide, better renamed as ‘Mental illness’ and ‘betrayal towards society’ by the Hon’ble Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi at the launch of issue based campaign ‘Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao’, has gone far, opening doors to numerous crimes like trafficking, bride marketing, child marriage, molestation to name a few. Santulan discusses the causes with lakhs on the occasion of Navratri, taking into consideration the facts namely existence of 55 shakti peethas in India, thousands of durga poojas and devi bhagwats conducted during Navratri, Maa Durga still cited as symbol of power and win of good over evil and many more. Yet there exists desolating statistics of violence happening against women all over, sex selective abortions being the worst form amongst all.

The stratagem encompasses varied activities viz; motivating commentary, captivating skit to showcase the alarming situation of prevalent paradox kanya bhroon hatya leading to dwindling number of girls in the land where kanya is worshipped as devi incarnation during Navratri, educative discourses powered by presentations to elucidate the need to harness lives of numerous foetuses who are crushed with the blame of being a girl, counselling, mass distribution of program pamphlets etc.
