On the occasion of 67th Kannada Rajyotsava & Sri Kanakadasa Jayanti, Divya Jyoti Ved Mandir (DJVM) conducted "Gyananjana Shalakaya - Enlightening Vedic Bytes" for the vedic enthusiasts of Dakshin Bharat on 11 November 2022 at Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Samudaya Bhavan, Mallasandra, Bengaluru, Karnataka.

The team of DJVM volunteers along with Sadhvi Deepa Bharti Ji, Global Program Coordinator from New Delhi, Head Office hosted the inaugural event.

From cultural decorations to Vedic recitations, this grand event witnessed the presence of various eminent personalities of Dakshina Bharata. The lodestone of the event was the pañca śivaliṅga, one of which was a sphatika (crystal) śivaliṅga, especially brought by Agamacharya, Dr. Soma Sundara Deekshith, Pradhana Archakaru, Shri Gavi Gangadhareshwara Devasthanam, for Sri Rudrabhisheka ritual. The program started with a grand peace march from Sri Anjaneya Devasthana to the program venue. As is customary, the swaroop of Divya Guru Shri Ashutosh Maharaj Ji paved the way along with the pañca śivaliṅga-s that were held by DJVM Volunteers throughout the peace march. DJJS Preachers, DJVM Volunteers, Agamacharya Ji along with his team began the peace march with nada-swaram that escalated the entire realm to a blissful space.

Upon reaching the venue, the pañca śivaliṅgas were placed and thus began the chanting of Sri Rudra Prashna (mentioned in Krishna Yajurveda) & Sri Shiva Sahasranama along with Sri Rudrabhishekam performed by DJVM Volunteers and Agamacharya Dr. Soma Sundara Deekshith ji with his team of vedic scholars.

It is hard to cull out a single métier from the entirety of the program, but to marshal an event like such for non-hindi speakers was one of the peculiarities of this event. Not only this, participants from various districts of Karnataka, Andhara Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Kerala etc. of Dakshin Bharatiya States came to attend the first ever Gyananjana Shalakaya workshop by DJVM. The program was staged in three languages, Sanskrit being in preponderance.

After the Vedic ceremony, a panel discussion was held which was chaired by Sadhvi Deepa Bharti Ji with panelists Agamacharya  Dr. Soma Sundara Deekshith Ji, Swami Sri Mangalanathananda Ji Maharaj, Ramkrishna Mission, Shivanahalli and DJJS Preachers Sadhvi Ritu Bharti Ji & Sadhvi Nishanka Bharti Ji.

Agamacharya Dr. Soma Sundar Deekshith Ji spoke at length about the scientific aspects of Shri Rudram as mentioned in Rudra Prashna. Sadhvi Nishanka Bharti Ji presented the gist adored with the message of BrahmGyan. After that, Swami Sri Mangalanathananda Ji Maharaj elaborated on propagation of Vedic Culture overseas by Swami Vivekananda Ji and the contribution of modern-age manifested souls in the revival of Vedas. His message was wrapped up by Sadhvi Ritu Bharti Ji with an essence of self-realisation as mentioned in Vedas.

DJJS Volunteers felicitated the guests with a token of respect. Sadhvi Unmesha Bharti Ji, paying her reverence unto the lotus feet of Divya Guru Shri Ashutosh Maharaj Ji thereafter gave vote of thanks to the team of esteemed guests, volunteers and vedic enthusiasts. Towards the end, a traditional dance was performed by the Kiran Group of Dance, Bengaluru dressed as Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati.

The program ended with Maha Mangalarathi and Mahaprasadam. Everyone applauded Divya Jyoti Ved Mandir and thanked Divya Guru Shri Ashutosh Maharaj Ji for such a splendid program.

This Enlightening Vedic byte actually expanded the horizons of Divya Jyoti Ved Mandir in Dakshin Bharatiya States.
