A one day ‘Free Dental Health Check-Up Camp’ was organized by DJJS Amravati branch in Maharashtra on 16th of July 2019 at Deshmukh Lawn,Rahatgaon Road, Shegaon Naka Amravati in Maharashtra to cater the dental health needs of people residing in the nearby communities.
The camp started with a welcome note and introduction of medical team of Doctors to the gathering by DJJS’s preacher Sadhvi Subhprabha Bharti ji. Sadhvi ji also gave a brief description of various spiritual and social projects of the DJJS. A team of veteran dentist Dr. Pravin Kharate, Dr. Priti Kharate, Dr. Mamta Dadlan, Dr. Riya Arora and Para-medical staff carried out a comprehensive dental checkup of the registered patients. They provided awareness, consultation, treatment & diagnosis to each patient for their present dental condition and those identified with acute dental problems were referred to hospitals for further investigation & needful treatment like RCT, Extractions, Periodontal Flap Surgeries, etc. Prescribed medicines were given free of cost to patients. In total 100 patients (50 men, 40 women & 10 children) reaped health benefits with from this dental camp.
The patients were also educated by the doctors about preventive oral hygiene practices and common dental ailments, especially about tooth decay & gum diseases with preventive measures to be taken. There was excellent response to medical camp as patients felt satisfied with the available treatment facilities. The camp was successful in term of management and services as well.
