“निःशुल्क स्वास्थ्य जाचं एवं चिकित्सा शिविर”, one day Free Medical Health Check-Up camp was organized by Amravati Branch in Maharashtra on 9th July 2017 at Deshmukh Lawn, Shegaon Naka Rahatgaon Road, Amravati.
One week prior to camp, a team of DJJS volunteers visited the nearby areas for canvasing and distribution of pamphlets of medical camp. The registration of patients was handled by DJJS volunteers. A panel of eminent doctors in their respective fields, comprising of a Pulmonologist (Dr. Pankaj Ghumar, MD chest medicine), a Dentist (Dr. Anup Shriramvar) and a Physician (Dr. Bhushan Watha MS), rendered free consultation and diagnosis to patients in the camp, along with paramedical staff for BP check-up and medicines distribution.
Approximately 87 patients comprising of 67 men & 20 women came for health check- up. Most of the cases pertained to respiratory and throat infection, joint problems, anemia, dental problems, injuries, allergy, gastric issues and some common feminine diseases. Prescribed medicines were provided free of cost to patients.
The health camp was well organized under the guidance of Sadhvi Subhprada Bharti. All patients felt satisfied and pleased with the treatment facilities and availability of free medicines. The camp was indeed a huge success in terms of management, services and cordiality.
