Yagya- derived from the word ‘Yaj’, is meant to unite, to worship and to give. The Significance of yagya has been described in our Vedic literature i.e., Yajurveda. It is meant to achieve desired physical, psychological, and spiritual benefits and at the same time, teaching us a lifestyle that promotes higher human values. Also, it is a sacrificial ritual and offerings made have a symbolic meaning in the spiritual world. Given the prevailing adverse atmosphere of pandemic posing challenges of survival and affecting not only physical health but mental condition of Human society as a whole, a Vedic antidote of Yagya oblations is the need of an hour. A Yagya acts as a healing process that wipes out the unhealthy pathogens from the atmosphere, purifying the surroundings through the essential electrons of the offerings fumigated in the Yagya. As per Yajurveda, the presiding deva Agni, which is described as - yagnasya devam – is intended to secure purohitam or the welfare of all. When performed by the Brahmgyani’s with the selfless intentions in connection with the eternal name of Lord, it can transform the psycho physical form of all things and beings around, into the vehicle of divinity.

As the holy smoke permeates from the yagna fire, it eradicates all ill effects and negativity from surroundings and also brings along peace, happiness, prosperity and contentment. Recitation of Vedic Mantras by devote disciples of His Holiness Ashutosh Maharaj Ji along with the sacred Yagya Agni or fire created a serene atmosphere.

The spiritual connotation behind the rites performed were also narrated to all the attendees present, who then felt motivated to follow the path of our innate divinity, shun self-centered actions and imbibe righteous tendencies. Devotees were inspired to surrender greed, ego, negativity and soul to the Supreme as an oblation for the greater good and welfare of all. These Yagyas acted as a stress reliver, a way to nurture mother nature and ray of hope in an otherwise fear induced chaotic world of today.
