Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan under its holistic health program ‘Aarogya’ organized a Dental checkup camp in Jodhpur at Adarsh Vidhya Mandir School, Lal Sagar, Rajasthan on 22nd November 2015. The publicity of camp was done in advance in nearby areas by DJJS volunteers through distribution of pamphlets. A team of two specialized doctors Dr. D.K Barmera [MD] and Dr. Sweta Soni [MDS] extended free consultation and diagnosis to patients for their problems related to dental and general health. In total 52 patients got benefitted with this comprehensive health checkup and out of which 17 patients identified with acute dental problems were referred to Vyas Dental College & Hospital, Jodhpur for further treatment like RCT, Extractions and Periodontal Flap Surgeries. Also 20 patients with blood pressure problems and high blood sugar level were referred to Kothari Hospital, Jodhpur for further needful treatment. The patients were also educated about oral hygiene and common dental ailments, especially stressing on tooth decay and gum diseases and measures to prevent from them. Prescribed medicines were given free of charge to patients by DJJS. There was excellent response to medical camp as patients felt satisfied with the treatment facilities and availabilities of services. The camp was successful in term of management and services.
