In continuation to the last project conducted successfully, between January 2012 to Dec 2013, the Vijay Vihar branch of Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan in Delhi, under its drug abuse eradication program has launched a Mobile campaign, ‘बोध कैम्पेन’ – नशे के विरुद्ध एक आदोलनकारी मुहीम’, on 27th July 2014, this year as well. This campaign intends to cover the area of Vijay Vihar, Rithala Phase 1 and Phase 2 and other areas, falling under the ambit of Rohini, New Delhi.
The prime constituents of the campaign are, street theatre, one to one counselling, pamphlet distribution and group discussion, with regard to the reasons, myths and facts relating to drug abuse. Through its activities, the campaign will focus on the two prolonged approaches of the program
- Prevention of drug abuse among non users, initial users and
- Treatment of the addicts or the dependants, fore grounded upon the organization’s self-developed ‘psychoanalytical module based on ‘Dhyan Therapy’.
Sadhvi Anuradha Bharti ji, disciple of His Holiness, Shri Ashutosh Maharaj ji, the founder and head of Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan, and branch coordinator of vijay vihar Centre, DJJS, said. “Any state or an area can be drug free only when, the sincere and thorough efforts from all the stakeholders get together”. That’s why, in this mobile campaign, we have involved youth, children, women, schools, colleges, area notables etc, in order to spread awareness in the community at large.
“Regular monitoring and evaluation of the activities will be the priority, so as to ensure an appropriate approach and the level of accessibility up to the understanding of the local masses”, Said Sadhvi Ji, further.
Under the drive, a team of 10-15 dedicated volunteers, covered the three heavy footfall areas of Rohini, where almost 4500-5000 people were benefitted and more than 50 people registered their names for further counselling and treatment, foregrounded upon the DJJS’s self developed ‘Psychoanalytical treatment Module, based on ‘Dhyan Therapy’.
An eminent Industrialist from Anil Building Material supported the drive by taking the message to the elite section of the targeted area and also motivated them to support the drive further.
